Braising

What is Braising?

Cooking your ingredient(s) in liquid using low heat for a long period of time.

When braising, you want to be sure that the liquid you are cooking in comes 3/4 of the way up your ingredient.

You can also braise veggies and leaner cuts of meat on the stove top. Just be sure to cover your pot!
